Frequently asked Questions (and Answers)

• What is the body fit of men's shirts? 
  The shirt's fit is what is known as "full cut fitted shirt" (a body fit) i.e. it does not taper at all, it is straight.

• Are the shirts hand made?
  All of our shirts are workroom made, using the single needle sewing machines that we have always used and as you would use at home. They are also finished by hand.

• Will my new shirt shrink at all?
  While the shirts are manufactured with pre-shrink cotton we allow for shrinkage of approximately half a centimetre in the collar.

• Where can I purchase spare/extra collar stiffners?
  By simply contacting our staff by e-mail/fax/phone, who will be happy to provide you with additional collar stiffners at no extra cost.

• Where can I purchase spare/replacement buttons for my Haines and Bonner Shirt?
  While (Trocas) buttons can be purchased at all good haberdasheries, extra buttons are put in the tail of the shirt, should any be required.

• Why are the cuffs blunted/rounded?
  The cuffs are rounded to prevent them from being caught on the edge of your jacket as it moves over the cuff of your shirt.

• Are the shirts VAT free?
  All orders despatched outside the European Union are free of VAT (sales tax). If ordering from outside the European Union, you could expect a reduction of 14.89% on the gross amount of your order.

• Will I have to pay duty to have my shirts delivered to me in the United States?
  While every effort is made on our part to minimise the need to pay duty on goods dispatched from the European Union, it cannot guarantee that this duty will not be levied.

• Will the shirts be delivered directly to my door (either office or home)?
  Yes they will be delivered to an address of your choice.
